How is PSA Oxygen used in Medical Field?

PSA or the Pressure Wing Adsorption process mainly uses zeolites Molecular that sieves produce the oxygen from the atmosphere. The “Oxygen 93%” contains not less than 90% Oxygen & not more than 96%, the  remainder consisting mostly of Argon and Nitrogen and thousands of such installations that have proven these are safe for medical use.  The Oxygen for Hospital is curated in the same way.
A medical oxygen generator is mainly manufactured in accordance with ASME Code & it meets the Indian, European as well as United States Pharmacopeia Oxygen’s  93% monograph. It is Oxygen from Air by Molecular Sieve process. The PSA unit used is very much very reliable and fully automatic.
The pressure of such kept in the Buffer tank is continuously monitored by a pressure transmitter. Whenever Oxygen Buffer vessel pressure falls below 3.5 Bar, an alarm starts buzzing. There is also another pressure transmitter which is provided in the pipeline to indicate when the reserve supply system is to be actuated.
These kind of O2 produced with the PSA technology is supplied through Oxygen Generators  and not cylinders because with the use of generators have the following advantages:
·         Safe delivery of gas.
·         No handling of Oxygen cylinders.
·         Economy & decrease in Oxygen cost.
·         Oxygen available round the clock in-house.
·         Easy to use.
·         Low maintenance.
·         Eliminate the expense of purchasing, receiving and monitoring oxygen supply for hospitals.
·         Economical
