What are the elements of a Liquid Nitrogen Plant?
A
liquid nitrogen plant helps to produce the nitrogen from the
air, which is thereafter stored in an internal reservoir that makes it easy to
dispense the nitrogen with just a simple push of the button. Below
mentioned are the important elements of a nitrogen that helps it function and
dispense liquid nitrogen for the use of the industries:
Air Compressor
An air
compressor is required to provide air to the nitrogen generator. The compressed air can be supplied
by customer, or it can be supplied by the manufacturer as a part of the
integrated package.
Nitrogen Generator
This
generator works on
principle of separation of nitrogen from the air. Both PSA as well as Membrane
Nitrogen separation technologies are available which can be chosen to
suit the needs.
Cryorefrigerator
This
element boasts a cold
head which is mounted on the top of the Dewar, Helium compressor as well as a
pair of stainless steel flexible helium lines.
Dewar Assembly
The gaseous
Nitrogen produced in the
generator is then transferred to a Dewar assembly. The Dewar assembly is
designed for the storage as well as the extraction of LN2. It is made up of stainless steel and is a vacuum jacketed
container that stores the liquid nitrogen with the minimal losses.
Level
Indicator/Switch
The level indicator/ switch is mounted on
the Dewar that controls the operation of a liquid nitrogen plant. This level
indicator/switch is preset get switch off the cryorefrigerator when the Dewar
is full, and the it places plant onto standby mode.
